“Jacqueline was my clinician for my 17 year old daughter who is diagnosed with autism for over a year. My daughter is non-verbal and Jackie used a variety of effective strategies to help my daughter. Jackie used prompt tactile techniques, and taught my daughter how to navigate her AAC device. Additionally, Jacqueline also focused on teaching my daughter how to communicate and practice daily life activities, such as brushing teeth and hair on herself and through play with a doll. My daughter loved this! It was not only helpful with my daughter progress completing daily tasks but it was fun for her as well. As for myself, she helped me learn how to navigate the AAC device as well, to better communicate with my daughter. Overall, Jacqueline is a very hardworking and caring clinician! She is amazing and I would recommend her to anyone.”

“There are no words to describe just how much Ms. Prieto helped my daughter to improve her communication. When my daughter started school, she was quiet and shy. It was hard for her to adjust at school because she struggled to communicate with others due to her speech delay. My daughter used to get distracted a lot, finding it hard to pay attention. This made her first few weeks at school very difficult. When she met Ms. Prieto, my daughter started to change her behavior. She began to enjoy going to class! Little by little, her communication improved. Ms. Prieto would always give me a call to update me on how my daughter was doing in class. I appreciated that greatly! She also provided me with advice and ways to help her continue to improve her speech. Ms. Prieto also helped me provide my daughter with the correct AAC device needed to enhance her communication skills. It was such a helpful device because it allowed my daughter to practice and communicate whenever she wanted! If it wasn’t for Ms. Prieto and all her dedication to helping my daughter, my daughter’s speech wouldn’t have improved this much. Thank you Ms. Prieto for all your effort, support, and dedication that you have provided for my daughter.”

“My daughter began seeing Ms. Prieto when my daughter was 5 years old, at the height of the pandemic. She met with my daughter remotely for about a year, and during this time, I saw vast improvement in my daughter's speech condition. Ms. Prieto was skilled with using play as a way to help my daughter with her speech, and was able to gain an understanding of what the most effective way to train/teach my daughter was. She was able to keep my 5-year-old engaged, which was not an easy task! Further, my daughter always looked forward to her sessions with "Ms. Jackie", and to this day, still remembers her. I think this speaks volumes about Ms. Prieto's effectiveness as a speech therapist. I would recommend "Ms. Jackie" wholeheartedly.”
